Glass Sculptures/Glass casting

A particular favourite at Age of Glass, where lumps of raw glass are melted into a mould and changed into a sculpture – like bronze casting, but with glass.

Using the ‘lost wax’ method, this again is an ancient and time-consuming process, often taking months for a single piece to finish cooling in the kiln. Designs are guaranteed unique as all moulds are destroyed after production.
